Yay!  Here she is!

Bad points:
  • there's a gap in the cubby 'hole tween the seats, a curvy shape, but nothing in it.  Not sure what is supposed to be in there
  • few dings/marks that I'll have to get straightened out (but nothing major)
  • er, that's about all I can think of...

Good points:
  • Goes like stink
  • The 'stereo' does everything; CD, DVD, navigation, traffic - more than I expected!
  • Goes like stink
  • Barely any increase in insurance costs from the Roadster
  • Goes like stink

It's off to VW for some TLC first thing tomorrow (a service, not due but I'm a oil changing kinda guy).

I'm a happy boy :)

Hey all,

Thanks for the replies; I've been a busy boy starting my new job, and covered 600 commuting miles last week.  My Ed30 is doing very well (as expected) and as a special treat, I even read the manuals today and learned some new stuff ;)

The bottle opener thingy is missing; if anyone has one spare, I'd like to purchase, please drop me a PM/email/whatever :)

My Ed30's mats aren't 'right'; they're from a Golf, but don't clip on properly (oval holes in the mat, round studs on the floor).  Fortunately, as my Mrs worked for VW (UK head office here in MK) for several years, I know lots of VW people, so sorting out a new set now.  w00t!

Now, on the remap topic (yeah, you know, the one I wasn't going to do).  Right now, I get 33mpg on my commute; does anyone have good proven examples of better mpg after a remap?  Yes, I know that's not the primary reason, but if I can demonstrate that remap = better mpg, I might just be able to get it past the accountant (er, my Mrs!)

Totally agree.

I can't seem to keep away from the mods section either and I'm getting some very unhealthy yearnings.....

I might have to go and see someone!!

If I take it easy on my commute (13 miles of A and B roads and motorway @ 50mph) I can regularly achieve 37+ mpg!  :happy2:
