smoothing out the numberplate grill surround?!

Hi guys! how do I go about smoothing out the area near the numberplate, I want to go for a shiny gloss black look!

GTi font grill?

You can buy smoothed grills... OR smooth it yourself & spray it.  :happy2:

For mine I filled the holes with P38 sanded back and then wrapped it with gloss black wrap.
 
There is possibly a thread on here somewhere, try doing a search ^^

You can buy a brand new USA Spec one without any holes in it. You can get these from places such as AwesomeGTI, Merseyspeed or Parts4euro ect.

Or do it yourself:-



Smoothed with holes plastic welded rear braced with fibreglass patches and the rubbed down. Painted body colour - prepped myself and painted by local body shop for £35!
