brake pad warning light? can i.....??

hello all, been a while since i have posted,

i have put a big brake kit on a friends mk5 golf,

 brake pad warning light is now on, can i just cut the cable and join the 2 ends togther to cancill out the light??

 i have done this on my audi tt but wanted to make sure it was the same on the golf??

Yes you can either 'short' out the sensor at the plug or code out the warning with vcds  :happy2:

Yes you can either 'short' out the sensor at the plug or code out the warning with vcds  :happy2:

If you don't have access to vcds, I would suggest you cut off the connector off your old brake pad, short the wires and reconnect it to the sensor plug.
Without traction power is nothing!
