Howdy!! Not a Golf, but just like a Golf..... Mk2 Cupra R
« on: March 14, 2013, 06:00:16 pm »
After months snooping around here I thought it best to register and at least try and get slightly involved - seems you're happy to welcome fellow VAG owners, especially if they're running the same internals, so hopefully all is good.

Bit about me, loved Jap cars all my life until I turned to the VAG group and there's no going back - especially after my first Cupra R saved me and the missus from a nasty accident with a drunk BMW 3 series.

So here she is.  So far she's lowered on Eibach Sportlines, got WALK, APR Stage 1 and a SPEC Stage 2+ clutch...

What a superb looking motor that is  :happy2:

Any more piccies? I think you should   Bet it drives well too.

Just shows what this forum does to you, I looked at that then immediately thought "Right, think I'd refurb the wheels in a grey of some sort and vinyl wrap in black the front splitter centre section..."

Thank you for the warm welcome.  I'm hoping I can make some sort of positive contribution to the forum even though I don't have a Mk5 Golf.

Will be getting a readers ride set up shortly, so plenty more pics over there...

...although it would be rude not to share a nice dramatic one of how my first LCR ended up -

Mods to be done, well i've ordered four Michelin Pilot Super Sports, a rear H&R ARB and a P-flow...  :jumpmove:
