OEM CAT Exhaust diameter

I have a cat back Milltek to fit to my 55 plate gti. 

Can someone tell me what dia the OEM cat pipe is that I need to connect to please as I know the miltek is 2.75", but I suspect OEM is 2.5"???

Any help appreciated as I want to fit it whilst doing a vid and listen to this baby sing!!!!!  :happy2:
