Bilstein B8/B12 or an alternative?

I have a B12 kit on my Pirelli. It lowered it by about 10mm on the front and around 15mm on the rear. Not a big drop at all but has leveled the car out. Had a 4 wheel aligment done at the same time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

JKM supplied my Pro Kit for me.

They don't seem to do a Pro Kit for a GTI, do you have the Sportline one or is it H&R springs you have?

The only Pro Kit's I see are for 2.0 TDI etc.

I have the Eibach Pro springs, they're matched to the dampers .
Give JKM a ring, I'm sure Kate would advise you of where to buy. She's nice like that!

Thanks for the replies everyone, I've opted for a B12 Sportline kit specificially for the GTI - will hold onto my AP springs for a bit in case I'm not happy with the drop but I think it'll be ok.

The main benefit of these kits is that the spring and damper rates are matched and have been engineered with the other in mind and therefore are balanced. I'm sure you'll find them an improvement.
I would have been happy with no lowering, dynamics was my priority.

I think the Pro kit doesn't lower as much as the Sportline kit...if I have that wrong I'm sure somebody will correct me! Pro kit also has progressive springs, or at least mine does!

I too want a better setup nt necessariy a drop, but as the car is already lowered I like the benefits of that. Got an Eibach rear ARB and Superpro bushes to go on too.

The Sportline kit will have a bigger drop but there seems to be no such thing as a Pro kit for a GTI - these must be 55mm struts with roughly the same axle weight rating, but advertised for a tdi etc.

But I'm sure the B8 shockers will fix my woes.

Agree, but both European Sportline and Pro Kit springs are linear contrary to Eibach springs sold in the US.

Sorry mate, I got them from Germany and didn't want to be cheeky by asking for a price match as there was quite a difference with the exchange rate being in our favour a little, will know better next time.

I blindly went for B12's on my car. I am not about changing ride heights between workdays and weekends with adjustable coilovers or commuting with a  'track day set up'. However this set up has given me a very acceptable compromise!

Hi, I have also Pirelli GTI and I think that sportline is to low for my drive. Do you have any part number about your B12 pro kit? I have information that for GTI is only Sportline...Thank you
