Build number-Plate/Plaque

Im probably being vey thick, but is this build number plaque something supplied from VW?

Or is this something you guys supply?

What information is required?

Yep, they are dealer supplied, but i think you need to be the original owner? might be wrong.

I am the original owner so that should be ok.

Do I need to order it from them or do they send it?

Ive looked all over and the car doesnt seem to have a plaque - can I still call up for one?

^^^^ yes you can, as long as one has not been previously issued for your car, all is good and they will send it out FOC.  If you have one on the car it will be (or should be) on the door as below

I actually spoke to VW today and the lady (Jenny) who deals with this is on holiday until 14th Sept. You will need to e mail her copy V5 to Jenny.boyd@volkswagen.co.uk and she will check to see if a plaque had already been issued or not.

I will sending my e mail of to her tomorrow and will wait and see what happens.......

Right emails been sent - just looked at the V5 again and noticed it reads next to model Golf GTI edition 30 230 SA - anybody know what does the SA stand for?

Turns out mine was issued to the previous owner - wonder if they'll mind getting a letter from me asking if theyve still got - probably in the bin by now.
