30% off APR too good to miss???
« on: March 17, 2013, 10:07:16 am »
I've been thinking of getting a map for a while and was dead set on getting it done when awesome had 25% off, however my car was having warranty work done that ran over so I never got it done (karma?) now I've just seen they are offering 30% off so it works out at £420. Is this too good to turn down? Personally I think it's still too expensive for a software update, however everyone raves about the map! My only concern is that I dont think the brakes are up to the extra power, as I've already had a couple of hairy moments, but don't want to folk out on a 'big brake conversion.'

Go to R-tech, saving £170 over that reduced APR price, get a great map, and save for the NQSBBK, which is around £600... £430 with your saving. :happy2:

Not everyone is a stones throw away from r tech.

I would love to get an r tech map but

And I would have to do that journey each way and again if I needed any tweaks to the map.

What you have to remember with APR, yes its expensive but... all upgrades are free

So if you get stage1 and then bolt on stage2 hardware... free map upgrade

This is something that gets me a little.
APR does free software upgrades if you live local to the headquarters at Milton Keynes!
I didn't and had to pay for upgrade software to go to stage 2 and when I sold my car last week I had to pay £54 to get flashed back to standard.
The software is free but the labour of the APR dealer isn't.
When I had Revo I paid £50 to go to stage 2 so obviously their soft wares free too and it was just a labour cost.

Don't get me wrong the APR software I had was excellent and customer service was too but for Joe Bloggs it costs to upgrade.

If APR did software for my cr170 I'd be there but according to the website they don't.

I did the exact same thing the other night to see how far a trek it would be mate. Funny that my distance was the same!!  :happy2:

OP - where did you hear about the 30% sale? I'm tempted by APR and Authohaus in Edinburgh are APR dealers as well.
