looked at my 1st few gti's today
« on: March 17, 2013, 06:46:00 pm »
went to look at a few red tornado gti's today. to be honest I wasn't expecting to buy any of them as the specs was very basic, the 2nd I looked at was an ED30 thew and was very tidy inside and out just a shame it didn't have much spec to it.
i think Iv just made my search even harder thew, really fancy a ED30 after seeing the one today. looking at those today as got me out there and looking at diff ones and specs etc, just hope the right one comes up soon, I'm getting itchy feet after just a few weeks of searching, lol

good luck with the search my friend. it will be worth it in the end. if i had the cash a year ago i would have gone for an Ed30 but im just going to have to make the engine the same ......... someday

I believe you need 10 posts before the For Sale Section is accessible.

Don't be too put off by basic spec you may get a better deal, some items are easily retrofitted. What spec were you after?

sorted I'm at the 10 post mark, cheers mate  :happy2:
im after the following in spec,

•dsg box
•xenon lights
•dual zone climate
•MFSW
•heated seats
•highline
•sat nav
•cruise control

I would like the elec heated mirrors with puddle light but not put off with something without that,
I know the sat nav and cruise can be done retro easy enough but not sure how much and if any of the others can be retro, if you have any rough ideas would be great, as long as it all within my 12k budget I'm happy to do that.

as you can see I'm being fussy and asking for a lot, lol

loos like you want a full spec'd car, which will be at a premium, especially a ED30.  Hope you find one as they are great cars!

Get an ed30 if you can mate. I always wished my mk5 had the ko4 turbo and not the ko3 on it!  :happy2:

Dual zone climate control is standard on all Uk spec GTIs , so you dont need to look for that. Any car that doesnt have it will be an import.
