MK5 Golf Gti Extras
« on: March 17, 2013, 10:38:05 pm »
im looking to get a mk5 golf gti for around £6000, which i have found one but does not come with any extras. Such as auto wipers, auto lights, xenons lights, heated leather seats or even a arm rest can all this be fitted at a later date or will it cost to much cheaper to buy it already on the car.

There are cars in the for sale section with many of these for a bit above that budget, i.e., more outlay but cheaper than retrofitting.

The red GTI belonging to Black9 in particular.

Ps. Are you sure ihat one you are looking at doesn't have auto lights or auto wipers??
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

+2 for auto wipers/lights as standard. Because they're standard, they may not be labelled.

Everything can be retrofitted but it's about time and money. Some are easy and TBH the more spec a car has, the less you'll spend on retrofitting.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Don't quote me but I think heated seats were only available on the leather seats.

I got standard cloth seats that are heated, just for reference  :popcornsoda: As recommended I would look at getting a car with the extras already fitted

+1 My cloth seats are heated too. Any car that has the winter pack will have heated seats regardless of material.

Have you asked them for sure?
I don't think they'd even do it for a reasonable rate.

I have retrofitted loads on my mk5's, believe me with current prices of GTI's you're much better off buying one with the spec you want.
