............. The lawmakers decide to introduce the ban on all modifications to cars ( think they have already done to bikes? I Maybe wrong)

If this did happen then I would happily keep my gti as its quick enough for me  :happy2:
However, some guys on here are pushing 300-400 bhp. Now my question is would you guys be happy going back to 200bhp or would you look for something else? Buying a car with that much power of the shelf would not be cheap.

Depressing but I can see this happening before too long  :sad1:

I'd cry! A lot! :sad:

Then I'd buy a slow diesel and block all the traffic up going slow and keep my R for the track! :signLOL:

The income from us lot who modify our cars must be huge in terms of tax and just what the industry on a whole brings to the uk economy

TBH I love my ED30 even when it was stock so would be okay to revert. I suspect though that my next upgrade would be more carefully chosen and may well be an older model with more stuff than a new model with fewer extras.

Think of the tens of thousands of jobs it would take away from the economy, not good to do when the countries finances are strong. Let alone when they're seeming irrecoverable, like now.

I don't think they could ban it, just try regulate it more.

Make sure the modifications are insured etc.

This topic came up a while back. I think they were trying to ban all non approved mods. I'm sure most of our mods are certified somehow. So its not as bad as the shocking headline.
