My reply to their's:

Dear Mr. A., Tim
I received this letter after my cam follower had already failed years ago. And, I believe you when you say "Volkswagen stands behind our products through both our original warranty, and additional campaigns such as extended warranties, service actions, and recalls" in response to my original suggestion. I know that VW does...the issue isn't that you don't stand behind all of what has been said, but that there is still an issue with this being an ongoing failure for many that do have the B-version, or other version not being an A-version, intake cam.

The issue is:
The cam follower in the hpfp is wearing out for many with mileages of 80k to 120k miles. I've been on nearly a dozen forums for six years and recently there are many new and original owners having to deal with the inconvenience of replacing their rail pump(hpfp) and intake cam due to a $50usd part not included in your service intervals and not being mentioned by service representatives. People have left from having it serviced only to find themselves back within days or weeks due to a failed cam follower that VW is handling like a "US Government cover-up", so to speak.
As I said in my first message, I wrote something like "why this is not included in the service interval, or at least by now, why hasn't there been an amendment to the service intervals sent out to all known owners" and "why service rep's aren't advising this" as well is beyond me. You all have seemed to believe in the determination that there is no problem with the cam follower now that you all have publicly notified the world of a poor A-version cam. The hundreds of thousands of forum visitors are reading my messages to you and agree that VW is going to ignore this and shame on them if they do. When I wrote "stand behind this" in my first message to VW, I meant at least have service rep's have to mention it at certain mileages and try to send out an addition of this service to the known owners. But, as you too have done by ignoring my suggestions in your own response, I can assume VW will continue to ignore the issue as well, right?
Sincerely concerned,

Thanks for taking the issue up directly :happy2: - At least VW USA acknowledge there can be an issue and have issued an extended warranty...VW UK AFAIK does not acknowledge the issue.

Does anyone know ANY UK dealers that are aware of some of the issues EA113 has? Because the people in dealerships I have spoken to are either operating to a code of silence or actually don't know! :fighting:
