hey i just bought a GTi and need a to now which lead i need to for adaptor

Will need the extra wire connecting to an ignition switched 12v live (rom somewhere like a spare point in the fuse box), so they aren't 100% plug and play

Yes, but there is very little room to free up some space on the wire so it's easier to get it from the fuse box or off the back of the climate control.
