mine is getting the turbo, new oil and filter, all the pipes and the inter cooler cleaned out and the map put back on for £1400 @awesome,could get it done cheaper near me but that would mean getting it back down to them for the map

Sorry to hear about the turbo. What mods had you put on there, and for how long were the mods on?
Do you think it was just unlucky, or that the mods had something to do with it?

Why would you need the map putting back on? Nothing wrong with the ECU there?
Price doesnt sound too bad and at least you know Awesome will do what needs to be done.

When you say whistleing how noticeable was it? I have noticed mine making a little more noise at lower revs than i remebered from when i first got it.
Was it really obvious?
Cheers,

Smugster I got a noticable whistle and drop in performance when my dv had failed. The diaphragm had split. Its a chaep fix and a diy if your handy. Best to get your fault code read first to give you a better idea.
Hope this helps

I would love to get a bigger turbo on my diesel but dont have a clue how much and also whats involved,i would imagine its not just a case of throwing on a bigger turbo and thats it
im in the process of saving up for an uprated sachs clutch kit £800 fitted

i was thinking of putting a bigger turbo the price i got quoted was £1900 all in for a stage 2 but in the long run i would have to upgrade the clutch & because it will need more diesel going through the injectors thier wil be more smoke which i didn't want.
mine has only been remapped, with no other mods on the engine
