it had only done 39'000 miles just getting the standard one back on-i was thinking bout a upgrade but that brings its own problems


....When my K03 failed (wastegate crack in the manifold) I went through the same thought process about replacing it with a K04. Would have been quite a lot of expense though and I my KoniFSD's had also failed and I wanted VWR-KW-V3's (not cheap). The thread is here : -

The GTI (as opposed to the Ed30) will accept and work well with a K04 but the Ed30 is probably better suited in my opinion.

Thanks Jon - Gonna jack mine up tomoz and have a look. I aint long put a forge valve on there because the original diaphram have split. Fingers crossed its nothing much as I want new wheels lol lol lol lol

No probs mate. Those forge valves are tricky to install. It could well be a leak from there.

Did you have your car remapped at Awesome i.e. custom diesel map  :happy2:

yeah had my car mapped at awesome..it had been mapped before but i wasn't happy with it so i got  the apr map-really pleased with it

sorry yeah its a diesel-the gti were not out when i bought it but in saying that i like putting £15 a month in the tank and still aving a bit left next time i fill up :signLOL:
