I've had my eye on this since it was announced last year some time and really tempted to get the S version when it gets released. Unless there is an RS in the works..

Exactly my point! Isnt the A4 classed as a small saloon?  It would make more sense as a 2 door, but still not needed!

I'd say the Q5 is that car, not the Q3.

As said above the us don't like hatch backs and tbh most a3 size cars have a saloon variant in Europe. Alot of companies do saloon versions of small hatchbacks like fabia, punto's etc for eastwrn europe so I'm surprised it never appeared sooner as vw already had a variant of the golf being the Jetta

The design team simply just stick it in the photocopier and click x1.5
