Anyone with any sense should have the performance pack surely. Second hand there going to be a popular choice.

Exactly, should be a no brainer. What size are the bigger brakes, how much bigger are they over the standard ones?

Probably just the S3 / R brakes - should really be standard as we all know. Just a way of squeezingore money out of people are keeping the list price low.

Think I read that the non performance pack comes with 320mm discs and the performance pack will come with 340mm discs.

The performance pack has 340/30 front discs with vented at the front and the rear, whereas the non-PP has 312/25 front discs, vented at the front only.

Reviews dont come much more emphatic than that! The Mk7 (not just the GTI) seems to get fantastic reviews all over the place , I hope it sells as good as it deserves to!
