On Tuesday i had my KW club sports fitted and set up by
VWRI got up at 4 oclock this morning and set off to my favorite roads in Wales, i had been busy all week and was desperate to give them a work out. These club sports replaced my KW V2's, which i was happy with but because of my 8.5j wheels with 45 offset i could not get the ride height low enough, so my preferred option was to upgrade to the club sport, which came with camber adjust top mounts.
After 4 hours this morning on amazing roads all i can say is these club sports combined with expert set up has took the car to a much higher level, certainly passed my ability's to test them.
The car was so composed on the high speed bends i was struggling to find or get near the limits. I found myself able to get back on the gas yards earlier than previously, and the extra camber on the front made it feel like i had fitted the walk kit all over again.
This post though is more about thanking VWR for getting me this kit for a amazing price and giving me free fitting and set up, which took nearly 7 hours.
Although my initial reason for this upgrade was to get the camber adjust mounts, there was no way i was going to get a top of the range kit and have the handling compromised for the slammed look.
Matt and Alex both spent an awful lot of time getting it right. And now i can have a large passenger in the car and take on all bends and dips with out a single scuff or scrape, and the car is still pretty low.
So thank you very much all the staff at VWR i am very very pleased.
Here is a couple of pics of the new ride height.
And a link to the full photo shoot i did today because i was so pleased with how it looked.
