removing super glue

Hi

what can I use to remove super glue on my rear boot hatch?

 as somebody has super glued the gti badge on and I want to de badge it

Superglue? on the paint? Youll have a job, as it will have 'burned' the paint  :sad1:

Yeah, you won't get it off.. it would have likely ruined the laquer. If you really want to try, you could give it a going over with a machine incase you are lucky... but if you are inexperienced and the laquer has peeled or been "burnt" then you could make things worse..

I would simply sticking a GTI badge on again and wait until you can have the boot resprayed (I'm sure a "smart repair" would do the trick but the quality is always hit and miss).

The guys above I'm sure have more experience of this but......you can get super glue remover from the likes of screwfix. Worth a try I guess, you never know you might get lucky, it's only about a fiver for a small tube.
