Cars have moved on alot in the 20 years I've been driving with airbags, abs, traction control but basically teenagers have'nt moved on in those 20 years (and neither should they) so I agree with the wise words of others, start with a smaller engined car build up some experience you will make mistakes god knows I did!!!! I lost a couple of friends in car and motorbike accidents when I was in my teens, the accidents were nothing to do with me (don't know if I could have lived with myself) and get yourself a gti in a couple of years time.
When you first start driving its great fun and brings you freedom and opportunities, don't spoil it by increasing your chances of hurting yourself or someone else in a car to powerful for you. Good luck with your test, I wish you well.
