Well i have been offered a new steering wheel for my jetta, a gti one with steering wheel controls, i currently dont have steering wheel controls. Whats involved in getting them to work? I have the standard RCD500 stereo

My old boss fitted a buttoned S Line wheel to his non-buttoned A3 3.2 and he needed a steering ECU and coding, the part was around £120+VAT if I remember correctly.

Ive just bought a new gti sterring wheel and i didnt want to set the airbag off......can anyone offer any tips or help?

I am currently doing this with a few other things at the same time. I believe if you have highline they may work (dont quote me) I have had to buy the latest canbus control module (part number - 1KO 907 530 S) this costs £140.22.
