Rear wiper
« on: April 02, 2013, 09:57:44 pm »
Well my rear wiper seens to have a mind of its own. Sometimes when i get in and start the car the rear wiper comes on. This only hapens now and again. Can be anoying when it does the car is dirty but dry as i dont want it to scratch the glass and it leaves a really anoying streaky mess.
Does this happen to anyone else??

Lots of threads regarding this... think it was down to a dirty sensor or something... mine does it now and again, tis annoying.

Is it when you put it in reverse or driving forward as well. Think it can be disabled in VAG-com (so it only comes on when told  :happy2:)

Could be stating the obvious but your car isn't in reverse gear wen you start it up is it?

Have the same problem with mine too, can be fine for a couple of weeks then just has a mind of its own & the odd occasion where it just won't work at all until I switch the ignition off & back on again. Frustrating as hell  :fighting:

Had this on mine where it would start working by itself when started the car up and would only stop by switching the ignition off.  I still had warranty at the time so the wiper motor was replaced which cured it.
