Exhaust welding?
« on: March 27, 2013, 10:37:31 pm »
Does anyone know what sort of money you might pay to get a sports cat welded into a de-cat pipe?

Or more importantly...is that generally a really crappy idea?  Seems you can get a de-cat pipe for £150 or so, then an eBay 100 cell cat for £100.

Branded sports cat downpipes seem to be £500+. I know the build quality won't be the same level, but I could be a reasonable cost saving, depending on the welding.

Try some local welding places, simply take the 2 bits in and show them what you want. Avoid car specialists as they might want a premium for it.

Where are you? I could do it at work if your local?
