robbing tw@s!!! this is getting too common, been thinking of the anti theft film you can have applied to your windows to stop it smashing, if they smash it and it doesn't break fully they may leave it as it will take them too long or they will get caught. shame we have to do these things though :(

was you parked somewhere quiet or something?

Thats the thing mate, they had the cheek to come do it in a busy industrial unit. There's 9 units in ours and the top 5 units (including ours) are busy all day. The lass next door to us saw him do it. Parking car across front thinking nobody can see and he's crouching down between cars and getting in and out within a minute.

Think the best thing to do is tint front windows to at least 40-50% and just hope the rossers dont pull you over (saying that, will it make it through MOT?) think max is 30%.....

But still might be worth a shout.

Torx security screws are ok, but thief's may have them.....Im think a touch off hot glue gun in each screw and maybe hot glue the top part of the fascia....that 5 mins extra might might get them caught....although you will stall have smashed windows.

What is the max tint on fronts? and does it effect your insurance?

I used to be into my car audio, when you make it difficult to steal they will generally smash the screen or rip your seats, anything to get back at you for securing your property  :fighting:

Vw could release a firmware update causing all devices to require a code that's managed by a online account so you could reset it if needs be.

I saw on here someone took the front of a bog standard head unit and made it so it clips over the front of the rns maybe worth a search?

iirc it was Hurdy that did this with his old ED30.

Gutted for you mate.  These scumbags need their hands cut off for doing this type of thing.

This is absolutely shocking, I hope you find the TW@s and get your car sorted. I'll be on the look out for any renaults snooping around the industrial estate I work on in Leeds...

Thats what I was thinking, would be good if we could disguise the units so they look like a standard device.

To the OP - Im so sorry to see this mate... really makes me sick and angry... Total Scum bags.

Just get a clear safety film - http://www.pentagonglasstech.com/supaglass/

Im seriously considering this... They dont seem to have any fitters / franchises in Manchester.
A quick search found this company: http://www.pentagonautotints.com/ Anybody have any experience of them?
