Today I got busy with the detailing..
The car was already on axle stands as I got started so first off, wheels all came off placed to one side.
What we were up against.
The paint is pretty darn good but the wheels had a fair few swirls in them..
So onto the start of the clean... with all the wheels removed there was easy pickings for the arches. I attacked this first with Bilt Hamber Auto Foam followed by a thorough rinse, then Bilt Hamber Surfex HD diluted 1:10 in a double action hand sprayer, with a couple of detailing brushes and a larger brush for the arch liners themselves.

Rear during:
Only got a pic of the rear finished but you can see the different easily.
Onto the rest of the car now.
I snowed the car and let it dwell...
And jetted it off, followed by a single bucket method wash with Autoglym BSC - as I washed the car last weekend, and it's only been sat on the drive so not really dirty.
I removed the bonnet lining... revealed me this..
And after
I'm aware of the oil cap being upside down  - Again tools of the trade were some brushes, a few old Microfibres and BH Surfex.
Wheels were completely decontaminated, using a mixture of Auto Finesse Imperial and Auto Finesse Iron Out.
....and polished, as from the before of the swirling above, and after.
G3 Scratch remover on a tri-foam hand pad with Auto Finesse Tripple as a topper, and coated with a double-helping of Colinite 476s.
I then buffed everything, applied Megs Endurance Gel and stuck them in the house for keeping overnight.
Then going back around the rough edges...
Boot hinges were looking mucky
And sorted
And hinges looking a lot better for themselves.
Sill kickplates looking sh*te
Much better now!
I called it a day at this point after 7 hours of working. Tomorrow I will be sealing the layers with 2 or 3 more layers of sealant, sorting out a few bits of bumper trim, re-painting the calipers and brake shields, and also painting the suspension arms as they are starting to get a bit grubby and it bugs me.
Anyway thanks for reading so far and check back tomorrow for more!
