Holy crap that's a lot of work. It looks so much nicer! Might have been cheaper to buy a 1.9 170 and remap though  :P haha

Also, where did you get the Hella Celis lights from? I can't seem to find them anywhere!

What a great read! It's nice to see such a transformation from a standard car to what you have now without the 45 page thread to see the finished article.

great build thread mate.

How much is the piper system for a tdi. do you know at all?

Hey mate, I think it's around £270, if you go through UK-MKIVS (or just email Piper and say you are from uk-mkivs and saw the 1.9 TDI exhaust on Jays Mk5 and you wanted one) you'll get a discount and free shipping I do believe.

Holy crap that's a lot of work. It looks so much nicer! Might have been cheaper to buy a 1.9 170 and remap though  :P haha

Yes it would have but, I drive a mile and a half to work every day which would be no good for the DPF, even though it does get a run regularly. Plus the cost in terms of selling, and buying and then re-insuring would be quite high and the only thing stopping me from going to an ED30 or an S3 - Plus at my age, I can't even get insured on a base 2.0 140 for a reasonable price. Even with the mods and the power declared on my policy I'm paying under £1000.. a stock 2.0 140 is over double that!!

Also, where did you get the Hella Celis lights from? I can't seem to find them anywhere!

I think I mentioned it bud, Ebay. But they are very rare now indeed, almost impossible to find. There are some on German Ebay I believe (or at least there were, as I was looking into buying a spare set to split) but they are around £320...

What a great read! It's nice to see such a transformation from a standard car to what you have now without the 45 page thread to see the finished article.

Thank you very much buddy. Haha, yeah, that's the only downside I suppose. A lot of discussion/banter/random stuff goes on uk-mkivs which adds character though, so I don't mind.  :driver: :driver:
I've recently bought a few bits of bodywork and hopefully will be buying some more if the guy gets back to me, and will be able to update with some exciting new additions soon.

Urrr...

I got more stuff tucked away in other bags and drawers.  :signLOL: :signLOL: :stupid: :popcornsoda:

What's on the car there in that video is:

AutoFinesse Tripple topped with Collinite 476s (following a full paint decontamination, light refining and a pre-wax cleanser of course).
The glass is wearing Dodojuice Supernatural Glass Sealant, the glass was clayed and wiped down with IPA prior to application.

Yes I'm pretty sad.

Lol, luckily I don't have another half to have to worry about.
You think that's bad, I got a full set of front and rear lights, a clutch kit, centre console, EGR, EGR cooler, various pipes and connectors, original basic dash cluster and 3 spoke steering wheel in my bedroom.. it was only a few weeks ago I had a turbo and manifold being used as a door stop.
