Vortex / Edition Splitter

Good Evening,

I know this thread has appeared many times.

I am after links to Vortex / Edition replica splitters for around £100 to buy tommorow! I would like to get it before the 14th April for a show  :laugh:

I would avoid buying a replica one to be honest.. while I've not tried one myself, I've heard the fit is not very good at all. If you want a super aggressive front splitter then get the Regier one, sometimes they look epic.

Votex and ED30 ones are both within £30 of each other new at VW (around £270 new and unpainted), but after a year you can sell either of them for £200, where as the replica one you'd struggle to have someone buy it off you at all.

Plus it will fit perfectly first time..

If you really do insist on buying a replica then ensure it's made out of ABS plastic and check the Ebay feedback of people who have bought that exact item...  for example the one linked above was not very well received by the people who bought them.

Thanks Jamie. I am keeping an eye out. Josh N on the forum bought this splitter. He complained about its fitment but the bodyshop was able to make it fit. I just cant justify near on £300 for somthing I want scraping the floor  :laugh:

I believe the above fits well with a bit of tweeking, I will be buying one in the near future and then getting it smoothed in to my front end... Im sure it will look fine but I dont expect it to be a perfect fit without some work, even with this being so... its over £200 cheaper.

1K0 071 609 9AX is Votex one.
1K6 807 521 LGRU is ED30 one.

Ordered one of the above eBay splitters, have to admit, for a rep, it looks good, complete with stamped vw and part no (think it was a 5k0 number)

Gave it to my paint guy today and have asked him to smooth it onto my bumper. Will report back with any issues and pics on Saturday (when it will be ready)

They dont seem to be selling them at the moment anyway.... Managed to purchase a Vortex one today anyway  :P Whoops!

Yup. When I offered the splitter to the gti bumper, it didn't look like there was much of an issue. Will update as soon as I can.
