In reality, North Korea wouldnt make a move without the consent of China...

Yeah, they have a 2.2M strong active military to mop up too... More than double the US.
Add another 1.1M for Korea...

I wouldnt have any worries about us trouncing the chinese if they got involved anyway. Yes theyve got the man power buuuuut everything i buy these days seems to made in china. The build quality of most it is horrendous.

Imagine it now.... A couple of chinese soldiers running toward you.
1 belts out 'DIE' in mandarin and takes aim... Ttttttt, chamber's jammed!
2nd has a bash. Tears off the ring pin of his grenade with hos teeth, goes to chuck it at you n all the contents fall out!

It'd be a joke  :signLOL:

In a seriousness though... We're to far away to be hot by anything the koreans fire n by the looks of of reports knocking about the chinese are getting a bit p*ssed off wi em.

Im sure the chinese have nukes so dont need to send anybody charging forward....

The Chinese will tell NK to wind their necks in before anything happens. Someone on another forum made a comment on NK's relationship with China and NK's behaviour which sums it up nicely:

"It's a bit like having one of your group start acting up in a nightclub - it just makes you look like a prat through association."

Yeah, the Chinese Government has appealed to North Korea to remain calm. It certainly sounds like they're not interested in getting involved.

It has been a thoroughly bizarre declaration of war. Firstly sayingg we're at war, then saying it might happen today, or it might happen tomorrow. Isn't a big bang not normally the first signal?!

He's new in the job and has a big reputation to live upto, so its just political posturing IMO.  This happens everytime the South Koreans and US do joit training exercises.  Id be surprised if anything happens, and if they did, i dont think the amount of potential troops of a country will mean anything, its the amount of Naval firepower available at their disposal and Air Superiority that will dictate what happens.  The Yanks have that well and truly covered.

Cant see China stepping in with military support either considering what the NK threats have been.  Politically they would be hard pushed to justify their support of the NK cause.

The chinese wont want it to kick off either because of the amount of war refugees that will spill over the border if it does.

As for china aving nukes. Yes they posess them but if im correct in thinking they are launched froma silo or dropped from a plane? The plane has bugger alls chance of flying that far without bring shot down n if launched from a silo we'll be a tad to far away anyway. Well... Thats if it manages to leave chinese airspace anyway!

I know China now have a bit of a monopoly as far as industry and economy but they surely wont want they're rapid growth rate to stop either by supporting a war started by a total nut job.
