R-Tech mobile service
« on: April 04, 2013, 03:16:01 pm »
Anyone used the R-tech mobile service, I'm after a map and after some research fancy the R-Tech one but I'm in Cumbria so its a 400 mile, 8 hour round trip. So just wanting to know if anyone has used the mobile service and what its like, I'm not 100% convinced my cars running properly as coming from my old 130BHP Seat Ibiza FR Tdi my supposedly 200BHP GTi doesn't seem much faster if at all faster so would R-tech be able to tell me if it is running properly without the rolling road??

I know it's a long trip but honestly I'd make a day of it and get it done to the best degree possible.  For me that means points to the rolling road. Now you've mentioned this I must get my car booked!

He's a busy guy! ps I'm no expect bit just giving me two pemce

Have you changed your DV and PCV valve ?
I felt exactly the same coming from a 140 2.0 tdi to a GTI. Changed the 2 of them and the difference was night and day !
Could be worth doing anyway before a remap, then you might not even want one .........!

Just changed the DV for a Rev G the other day and my old Rev C was in perfect condition so was pretty gutted as i thought that might of been the issue but obviously not. I'll try the PVC valve but does that affect the performance much? Or is it just something that if it goes can lead to problems? Really need it plugged in and scanned but theres no one in Cumbria on here with VCDS and I'm not paying £90 for VW to do it, i'm a student i cant afford that stupid price ha

We have knocked all mobile tuning on the head, we decided to put all time and effort into the custom setups on out dyno.  Plus by having the workshop and ramps we can give each car a more detailed pre remap health inspection and then log the car on the dyno.

Yep i remember! Mine wouldn't have been a much of a match as its standard engine wise! Only noticed it was you when you turned off left at the end of the bypass, and spotted the Revo sticker.

Keith and Steve keep asking if i'd like a Revo on it but i think it'll have to be R-Tech for me!

If it wasn't for them being local I would of went for an r-tech remap. It was easier just incase I had to remove the battery... like last week and obviously the remap goes back to stock values... So quickly popped down their and Ian put it straight back on and activated my boot pop. So far I can't fault them  :happy2:
