No I don't believe they would, but I may be wrong...

The law shoots itself in the foot quite regularly really, I was followed into a car park once for, well lets just say fruitful driving and becasue I hopped straight out my car and locked it the officer stated he couldnt do anything about it. Sounds daft but it does work!

Off topic, but how does that work? Not that I'd be trying it out... Haha

Sounds implausible otherwise all you need to do when you got caught for speeding would be lock the car and walk away, lol. :rolleye:

Correct the registered keeper would be required to provide the details of who was driving at the time of any offence.

Yep, seriously it does work... Tried and tested many times for things such as out of date tax discs... My friend got into a heated debate with a copper once who stated he would simply sit and wait for him to drive away as my friend refused to acknowlege he had drove his car to the car park who used to frequent... my friend called his bluff and he drove off in a huff lol!
