advice on selling my beloved eddie :(

time has come to sell the eddie now 
its on hp finance and I need to cut back my monthly outgoings so shes gotta go.

now the car has just had all sorts of bits like new hpfp, cam, fsi unit and so on due a failed follower
the car is stage  2 revo with dsg software to match

now my question is how do I sell it? sell it at stage 2 with the mods....

BCS turbo back with sports cat
ITG intake
white line rear ARB
white line Anti lift kit
kenwood dnx5220vbt
all chrome switches

I need as much money back as possible once the finance is payed off so It can aid my purchase of a new car
so do I sell it standard or sell the parts on the car but ask for more in hope of someone wanting a eddie with these mods done?

If you have the standard parts leftover and can put it back to standard-ish without paying labour, then I guess you'd make more money back selling the bits seperately.

Selling a modieifed car does always limit you market more, surely return to standard would increase the amount you will make from selling it, providing you have standard parts.

I'd return your Eddy back to standard, as mentioned your pool of potential buyers will be a lot bigger with a standard car.

You've probably got an easy £2k of parts there, even at second hand prices.

Not that it matters now jack, but does your finance company allow you to run a modified motor?

Just curious if there are clauses when purchasing on Hp?

I have some standard parts the parts I dont have ill sell on an exchange basis.....
don't really want to be doing it but ill sell it as standard then.
will soon make way for a new project 

and it depends Steve, there is no "no" but its easy enough to go back to standard and hp is based on you owning the car

I can never get my head around why someone would buy an un-modified car,do they believe its looked after better if its not had money spent on it or do they think that a standard one would be treated better  ??

i imagine most cars owned by people here have been looked after a thousand times better than the average vehicle. People here modified and think saxo covered in plastic  its a shame

when im looking to buy my next car ill look for one with the mods I want to do already done, saves me the money and time doing it.
I can understand the parts on the car cost money and its the previous owners choice to do those mods and its my choice to want those mods also,  but if someone wanted money off the car as it has these mods then surly the owner shouldn't compensate the buyer as its the owners choice and the owner is happy with it with those mods....if the buyer wants a standard one then keeo searching.

They are probably put off by thinking that there will be extra wear and tear...which there is, in many cases I can believe that modified cars, particularly from forum members would be a safe bet because they are owned by us enthusiasts.

I guess insurance could be a concern as well with potentially undeclared modifications if they were not disclosed by the seller.

As most have said, sell the modified parts separately, as you'll get some money back on them. A standard edition 30 has a wider market appeal, than a modified one.  When selling the car are you going to advise potential buyers that it was previously modified and subsequently returned to it's current standard state?

yes I will tell any prospective buyer's.....
so ill list the parts for sale soon and get back to standard and then sell him....then a few months save for a new car
