The over run noises on the Focus RS mk2 are induced as part of the mapping as standard.

I miss this from my R56 Cooper S. The pops and bangs definitely make it more of a laugh. Most modern turbo lumps pop and bang on the overrun so I don't think it's chavy.

Lots of fuel along the zero load sites and no ignition advance is the way it's done, this way as you lift off throttle it cuts all ignition and Unburnt fuel enters the exhaust.

Never had anyone request this on a 'proper' car, usually left for the Clio/corsa/imprezza brigade.

have to say though dave that an impreza is a proper car, just not to everyones tastes

My R53 cooper S used to pop and bang on overrun, I was told this was down to the mapping and used to cool the pistons as those engines run hot.
