Help p0299
« on: April 09, 2013, 07:20:16 pm »
So today I decided to change my diverter valve to the latest revision G. Fitted it took the car up the road & I got a sound like a high pitched sqeel like a boost leak? Anyway drove another mile then I got a massive missifre with a cel turns out the coilpack has gone luckily I am having them recalled on friday. Any ideas on a boost leak?

Have you tried re-fitting the DV? Might have not been set in correctly

Check the joint from the inlet to turbo, this often causes squeel noises when not sealing.

Also make sure the DV is on correctly, it has a small locator bump on it that must be fitted in the correct location on the turbo housing.

hmmm could be that as I have also just fitted a CAI. I have removed the dv again & put it back on the same way I took the old one off. Although when I took the new one back out it fell apart

Checked intake to turbo pipe it's all tight. Really can't find the leak I think it's from the pass side

Make a boost leak tester, I think you can do this with coloured air/smoke into the intake?
