WILLZIE:
Can anyone direct me to how this comes off please?
Wanting to fix my crack creek.

Greeners:
Can't see to find the guide but it's a piece of pi$$!

You will need a trim tool to remove the top vent on the dash, once out this will expose a screw at the back of it, then the top part of the dash will un-clip including the top vents. This will then expose the srews for the lower dash around the heather controls and then the stereo!  :happy2:

If Stealth can do it, anyone can!  :signLOL:

....Some say that the reason why Stealth eats so many sweeties is so he can stuff the wrappers in his crevices to stop the creaks.

stealthwolf:
clicky

It's not difficult but VW haven't made it easy. Lots of tugging and if you tug too hard, you break something.

This is going to sound counter productive but I'd like to throw a little theory out there.

My GTI is creak free but when I retrofitted a satnav and took the dash appart I discovered that two of the screws were missing... The one holding the vent flap thing was present but when I removed that part I was expecting to find another two torx screws (step 7 in that link) but they were both missing...... coincidence?
