audi a1 quattro wheels
« on: April 15, 2013, 08:18:37 pm »
I dont know whether you are aware but the A1 uses the older 5x100 stud pattern.

so when the quattro came out with these ace wheels...

I was already thinking.....damn they would look great on a mk5...race theme and all that, but wrong stud pattern.

But digging about on ETKA found that the quattro uses the 112 running gear, 8x18 ET50....woo hoo. :jumping:

Until i saw the price :sad1:......£803 each !

great looking wheel.

any idea why they're soo expensive?  are they mag/ forged / unicorn hoof?  or is it just the 4-ring tax?

Probably a combination of them being brand new and unicorn hoof.... OEM alloys from dealers are always expensive.

That's weird - isn't everything on the A1 5x100 (Polo platform) yet VAG can get them in stock in 5x112?...

Bizarre. Would've thought the supply/demand on them, especially at that price, is non existent

Hi think that's because the car in question is the limited edition quattro S1 which runs TTS/S3 running gear hence 5x112 and not the 5x100 setup
