Recently, I've been thinking of putting my car up for sale and getting something else. The list is massive at the moment, with a used Scirocco or a new Mk7 GTD near the top. Other candidates are from the BMW and Mercedes family and the Jag XF. Anyways, that's another discussion altogether.
My question is, even if the car is a high miler (133k) and a older example (2006) - what sort of effect does having some nice extra's make to the sale price of the car?
Personally, I'd go that extra mile to find something with a few creature comforts - where's allot of people I know would rather go poverty spec but lower mileage/newer model.
The car's black and comes in 3dr form. Factory tinted windows, 18" diamond cut Monza's, Black leather with arm rest and electric lumbar support, DSG and paddles, MFSW, 6-disc AC, dimming/heated mirrors, auto lights etc, 10 speaker sound system; I will also add some xenon headlamps in the next month or so (just waiting for the better weather!)
The car will generate allot of interest - simply because it's exterior look is, IMO, the best combination out there for the mk5. Would you say £5,000 would be pushing it - as a starting price?
Vaheed.
