Heading down to AKS Tuning tomorrow for some H&R anti-roll bars and Superpro anti-lift kit and geo. I'm prepared to take a 6 hour round trip from York after reading the many good things about Alex and his wheel alignment skills, I'm sure it will be worth the distance!

Suggest you pick up a pint of milk on the way.  The bottle I bought when I was there two weeks ago was still there on Mon.. but will be out of date by now..

.. but if you're lucky there may still be a hobnob left.

 :signLOL:

You won't be disappointed with the work though - Alex is top notch IMO.   Enjoy the drive home.

3.8 is very good. Shows how strong the stage 2+R's really are.

3.8 to 60 is the same as........

Pagani Zonda Roadster
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
Merc SLR McLaren
Koenigsegg CCR

So you are in good company Chris.  :happy2:

It would all go horribly wrong for the Golf after that though..  :signLOL:

Bit of an update, made it down to AKS Tuning on Wednesday to see Alex and he fitted me up with the aforementioned handling mods, here's a shot of the kit before it was fitted:

Here's the Superpro alloy arms connected up the anti-lift kit with the H&R anti-roll bars behind, love the colour!

Mmm, shiny!

After it was all fitted Alex took the car to the TT Shop a few miles down the road to do a fast road wheel alignment on their Hunter Rig.

I had a good drive out last night around some twisty country lanes and it has made such a big difference to the handling! The turn in is massively improved, the steering is a little stiffer but that's definitely a good thing, and the grip level is now off the scale. I was going around corners far quicker than I was able to before and was nearly coming out of the chair with the extra G-forces  :happy2:

Now for the downside, I'm getting a fair bit of creaking from under the front of the car when going over bumps in the road. I had a 175 mile drive home after they were fitted at AKS in Bedford, and there was zero creaking, so I'm not sure why it is doing it after being sat for 24 hours. You can see in the photos that all the bushings are greased up well, and the H&R bars are supposedly creak free compared to many of its competitors. Just waiting to hear back from Alex about what might be the issue, just hope it's not permanent as I hate any noises that shouldn't be there in the car!
