Part Ex Edition 30 Price?
« on: April 20, 2013, 05:05:36 pm »
Out of interest what could I expect to get for a part-ex on my Edition 30?

57 plate 3dr DSG, 70k miles, Full VWSH, RNS510, Highline, MFSW, Convenience Pack.

Parkers says £8,290 but I feel that's a bit low?

Thanks! :)

Part ex always depends on what car your buying and what profit margin there is in that car .

I think £8300 as you have quoted is about what you will get as a pure trade value . Also depends what type of Dealer you are going to aswell .

Don't part ex an Edition 30 ever , a GTI yes but never an ED30 they are too sought after  :innocent:

Thanks! I only considered part-ex due to less hassle and also I would really need the money from the sale of my current car to fund a new one, but I see where you are coming from!

Privately, what could I expect to get?

A well spec'd grey DSG should sell very easily, look at some of the others that have been for sale recently, £9.5-10k?

Thanks; similar spec ones on Autotrader seem to be going for £10-11k so it makes sense to sell that way, it's just the matter of how to fund a new car before selling the current one! :ashamed:

Can be a problem, but in the past i have sold my car first makes it far easier, then if needed, hire a car for the short period of time, or i was lucky enough to borrow one from work.

Yeah that's the way to do it.

Hire cars are cheap enough..
