Water Meth- will my engine break?
« on: April 19, 2013, 10:07:40 pm »
I've aquired a Water meth kit and are currently running a K04 conversion with a strong map on a BWA engine. My question is, will my engine cope with the extra power/torque?
Mk2 Octavia vRS with K04 conversion, 3"TBE & Decat, APR HPFP, BDM Intake, S3 I/C, Sachs clutch & Unicorn custom map, S3 brakes, AP coilovers, THS mounts.

Depends what figures your asking of it.

James was running around 380bhp and 450lb ft IIRC and he gave his 8k miles of serious abuse before his BWA failed  :happy2:

To get the most out of a K04 and WMI safely you really need to either re-build your bottom end stronger or swap your engine for a CDL lump from an Audi S3/ Golf R
NOW: 2015 Golf R DSG 5 Door, Lapiz Blue, 19s, Discover Nav, Reversing Camera
GONE:2007 Black GTI Edition 30 3dr
