Did you post it in the right section? you spent your first year on here just posting everything in the MK5 general area even after i was moving them every week.  come to think about it you only got the hang of different sections after your slip in the kitchen.   :P

The BMW forumites sound about as friendly as the majority of BMW drivers on the roads then. Figures

Your scenario sounds about right!

Before the ed30 I had a one series coupe and was on babybmw.net. Majority of the guys on there are knobs IMO, think they're somehow superior to everything else on the road cos they have a BMW badge on their car. In reality, the 1er is the runt of the BMW range and is no better than a golf or a3, and let me tell you, they don't like to be told that lol!

I used to get let out all the time in my Golf, but now people actually speed up to fill the gap so I CAN'T get in!! I am going to have to save hard and fast to get an ED30!! Shame, because it's a beautiful car my 330.

Can't say I ever got any agro on the road when I drove my BMW. Yeah my parents had an e46 m3 and its still a great lookin car, my grandad had a 328 coupe as well and that was nice. The BMWs are obviously more luxurious inside but the actual car, comparing 1er to the golf, there's nothing in it. BMW drives a bit better under hard driving due to rwd, but how often does that happen in reality....
