I currently having problems with my Tail lights, A few months ago I finally fitted my R32 Genuine Tail lights and since then Ive noticed that the drivers side outer light Keeps steaming up and condensation constantly there, Ive had the light changed over at VW, but Its happening again.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you solve it

i would like to know too, my passenger side one was half full of water after it rained last week! I took the water out, put the light back in and tightened it and a bit more and now its just condensed,

Might take it off for a whole day and leave it indoors for the condensation to clear up before refitting it.

My headlight was doing this after i changed a bulb, so ended up buying a 100g desiccant bag off ebay for a couple of quid and it sorted it out in less than a week.

I had the same problem years ago on my mk3.  I couldn't stop the water getting in, so I allowed it out by drilling a small hole at the bottom (obviously!), nearest to the bodywork.  It was completely invisible from outside, and didn't let any water in.
Problem 100% solved.

As mentioned, get a Silica Gel Desiccant Sachet Pouch and put it inside the light unit, will sort out your condensation in a few days. I had this problem, all sorted now.

^^^^ I have some of those and thought about using them but they are only 5 gram bags so not sure how effective they'd be unless you have 10-20 handy.
