The new Ghayman
« on: April 20, 2013, 09:50:03 pm »
I am so glad i don't need a road car as well as one for track because i would find it hard to resist this. Porsche have nailed the looks on this one and i quite liked the last incarnation. A chap i know with an Exige has just took delivery of this.

Meh... i love pork but that one misses it for me.

Front looks like the lovechild of a porker and Ferrari Scag.

I really like these, especially in bright red!
Possibly due to the Ferrari similarity mentioned above.
Fingers crossed lottery tonight..

As above, looks good because it looks like a ferrari.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Ehhhhhhhhh, indifferent. Porsche does nothing for me. I much prefered the older Cockster, the model before, I'd go for the R if it were me.
I'm sure it's a wonderful drivers car, not that I would ever be allowed a test drive in one, however they are almost so well engineered it becomes boring.

But in terms of a car to drive fast, I'm sure it's wonderful and the owner will have a lovely time!  :ashamed:

I love them , and love the fact they seem to be cropping up at about £15K as a second hand buy now , albeit the old model.

I'd happily drive a 'gay' Porsche. To say you're a starbuster because you drive anything other than a 911 is tiresome.

Anyway I assume the mid-engined Porsches handle better than the 911?? I haven't driven a Porsche so can't say this for certain.

Hi I like the new Caymen very much and if my Mrs wanted one id get her one in a heartbeat, I have three friends who have 911s   one is a black 4s  the other a grey gt3  and finally a silvery /gold coloured turbo 4wd and tbh none have ever moaned about them even the 4s now is around 7 yr old and still looks like a current car despite them saggy headlights , The other two are a 08 and 10 plate with the classic oval lights at the front for me it would need to be a 911.

Thanks for showing it to us

Stunning car IMHO.  :happy2:

We went to look at the Cayman (not the S) last week in our local Porsche Centre for my Dad's partner. The price of some of the options are staggering and some of the things you'd expect as standard on an expensive car are options. IIRC those 20" wheels (in pic above) are about £3k extra on the basic Cayman, they're a must TBH as the 18" wheels look sh*t. £200 for embossed floor mats, £400 for Trye pressure sensors, so on and so on.

(I'd still have one in a heartbeat given the money)

The one above is specced to just under 70 grand, i think it has ceramic brakes too.  I think the way Porsche are going with the 911 it has been pushed up to a GT car and the Caymen is going to fill the Gap behind it.  :happy2:
