Delayed start

Lately my motor seems to take a bit longer to start for some reason be it cold/warm. Its had a full vw larger service 1k ago (inc spark plugs) plus a terraclean so should be in good shape. It's got 100k on it but before service it seemed to start on the button or at least quicker than now. This a common thing with Mk5 Gti's as they get older/higher miles?
