I bought this banger with a couple of dings and a misfire, a Mk2 scirocco 1.6 carb /LS? cant remember, anyway I stuck a test(passed the emmissions) on it and put it in the local ads,
I took it out for a run, and some weird missfire set in,
I just couldnt cure it, but eventually I figured it had some fine dust in the bottom of the tank and other than removing and flushing or replacing the fuel tank(on a £300 motor) it gave me the motivation crisis, no no no
I stuck it out, a young guy came round, and loved it,
I told him, has a fault, needs a tank, yours for the cost, and he set off, I wished him all the best,
Ohh,, that was one that I was glad to see the back of.
