Knocking front corner - shock gone
« on: April 21, 2013, 08:37:34 pm »
Been noticing a small bit of oil on the drive over the last few months but have nerver really seen where  it came from.

Done a few spirited miles over the last few days and have developed a knocking front left corner....same corner as oil patch.

Took wheel off today and the damper is wet through, dripping off the drop link! So I guess I have found my noise, obviously a wheel bouncing up and down due to no damping I guess.

Just thought I would share, maybe will help someone out in future!

And this is not a car that is never looked at underneath, I'm often poking about under there. It crept up pretty quick!

Milltek tbe, Forge intercooler, AMD map, Eibach Sportlines, Porsche 996 over AMG 330mm homegrown BBK
