Collinite 915 or Poorboys Natty Range?
« on: April 25, 2013, 10:52:03 am »
Sorry if this has been posted before but i need some advice.

I am by no means a regular detailer or professional. The last time i polished a car was around 10 years ago.

My golf is 7 years old and im sure its never been detailed so i was looking to give it a good once over with clay bar, AG SPR etc.

but ive come across 2 products that people have been using. collinite 915 and Poorboys natty range?

What are peoples opinions on these products? Collinite seems to be at least a tenner more than Poorboys natty paste.

Id really like my golf to end up like this!

Thanks guys! (and gals)

I'm sure you can't go wrong with either of the two. I've not tried the Collinite 915 so can't comment on that, but I am using Collinite 476s and think it's excellent, very durable wax that will last ages and ages before the need to reapply. I have used Nattys Paste Wax (red) in the past and really liked that too, easy to apply and buff off and smells like strawberries! Both these waxes gave a really good finish and I'd recommend them both.

As you can see in my thread the Collinite 915 is great stuff. It is a bit more expensive than PB Nattys wax but I cannot compare as not used that before.

Have also heard good things about Collinite 476s but 915 is supposed to have a higher carnauba content and more suited to dark colours, although not sure it lasts as long as the 476s.

When searching keep an eye on the tub/tin size as they vary.

The photos in that link are very impressive particularly as done by hand!!

I would highly recommend collinite 915 goes on and buffs off very well and leaves a lovely gloss.

Cheers mate :drinking:

Yeah first time I have used the 915, even though it has been sitting in my detailing kit bag for a while now, and gave a brilliant finish :happy2:

I use poorboys white diamond,  black hole, white natty , blue natty paste and poorboys quick detailer plus in between washes (got a silver golf and a blue jetta) I just like the way it goes on and comes off ...I last waxed the golf in september and I wash it weekly and always use a detailer spray to finish off ...its just at the point where it needs waxing again although it still beads water nice ..I believe collinite do a wax which alot of people like to apply for winter as it protects well think its the 476 one ?
