The thing with the Honda is I don't think it has all those parts listed, atleast not by the manufacturers he says such as the spoon back box.

Another thing that's putting me off the type-r's slightly at the moment is that some say the chassis as stock lacks feel. You can do mods to help this, but I'm already having to go through all that crap with my TT and don't want to have to start modding my toy too.

Basically what I really want is a fun car out of the box with feel that will put a smile on my face around brands hatch.

I'm hoping I will have some pics of a car tomorrow and a good drive home.

I also had a heavily modded Civic Type-R and with loads of chassis mods it still wasn't 'fun' to drive, shame as it was ferociously fast.

The Suzuki Swift Sports at the Nurburgring have about 10bhp but are a massive hoot and much more fun than something doing warp factor 10 and pulling 12G in the bends!!

Hahah im absolutely useless on 2 wheels. Last motorbike i drove was like a auto scrambler, couldnt get it to stop so i just jumped off lol.
Saying that ive got a mate who has a road legal motorbike and they seem to go on some mad cross country runs through a local forest or something like that.

Im now off to pick up the car, will post pics and how much I paid later.

I reckon for sheer fun that road legal 106 rally car i posted in post#51 would be untouchable, and when you blow an engine or gearbox you go and get another for about £150 quid lol.

once my Fabia goes, thats what im doing.  Im going to bvuy something for 3-4k thats already completed and ready to compete.  Let someone else waste all their money instead this time lol

it was a 172 cup, stripped, suspension, buckets, caged.

However when I got there turned out the car had no MOT and no handbrake cables.

Car was faster than I thought it would be, seemed to handle tight, but for the money I can find a better example and do a better conversion myself IMO.

So I decided to give that one a miss and will look at others.

Have seen that one, but over budget, and 10 years too old, spares could become a issue?

Going to look at what seems to be an immaculate 172 cup this weekend, 2nd cambelt done recently, full service history etc.

Got a set of pole positions to put in it, will strip it, sort out suspension and geometry, should be good to go.
