Friend of mine has this fitted to his S3 and it looks excellent.  :happy2:

I just wasnt too keen on the fact that it lights up like a christmas tree when he turns it on!! It does settle down afterwards to his chosen colour though.

.
My column pod went through a period of several thousand miles at first when it squeaked but then suddenly started behaving itself and has been squeak-free for many thousand miles now.

Personally, I think this is the best position for a boost gauge, other than centrally on top of the dashboard, as it's so easy to glance at it.

A boost gauge isn't something you look at that much but when you need to or want to check things, it's invaluable.

The gauge that sticks on top of the steering column looks crap, I had to fit a Highline in a car that had one of those what a PITA

The vent type looks better or get a Highline and Polar

Really like the gauge in the vent looks very oem. With the small holes in..

Mights have to invest.

....The gauge vent housing with small holes in is the OSIR vent replacement. I think it's the only one currently available that angles the gauge towards the driver.

....You can fit whatever gauge you want in the steering column pod as long as its diameter fits. I think that the one you think "looks crap" is the NewSouth gauge which is an exact match with the OEM clocks display.

When fitted in the vent and if not angled towards the driver, a gauge is a PITA to see. Whether it "looks better" or not is somewhat subjective.

Isn't fitting Highline and Polars what you do for a living? Obviously a tidier solution but expensive and tedious if you have Midline and don't live near your workshop.
