For the sake of the brakes bedding ect I'd take it easy for a few hundred miles then gun it always gunned all mine from new with no probs and been great on oil :popcornsoda:

Worst ever iv'e got a new car thread.   :P

There are plenty of different opinions on the internet on this subject. I have always kept revs below 3000RPM for the first 1000 miles with occasional quick blasts of higher revs and changing down early to give it a kick every now and then. You are also running in lots of other components as well, not just the engine. Even if you dont take care like T88OMM most people dont keep cars for more than 3 years nowadays to any problems will be a few owners down the feeding chain.  :happy2:

Yea TC, I've read most of then out there but most threads are like 6 years old now.

I will only have it 3 years max  :happy2:

Take it easy first 500 miles or first 5 heat cycles then rag the sh*t out of it.
