Indy - Garage North London Way...
« on: April 26, 2013, 10:02:23 am »

Just a quick one guys… been looking for a Indi garage for the car since having her and have always ended up taking her to the stealers… however up to now it’s just been normal servicing etc. so wasn’t too bothered. In the not so distant future I have plans for some performance mods so really looking for a place that knows their stuff and who takes pride in what they do.

Well dropping off my little one at nursery this week I bumped into a guy with an Audi-VW specialist t-shirt on… and upon chatting to him seemed a really nice guy and happens to be a partner in a local business in harrow (pretty close to me in north London)… as the conversation unfolded it seems they are a sister branch of AMD Essex and offer all the same services as AMD…

So my questions are…

a.   AMD – how do you guys who have used them rate their performance
b.   www.audivwsc.co.uk – has anyone used these guys and how do you rate them

Appreciate any info many thanks

Tim

I've used AMD a fair bit and nothing wrong with the work they do or service they provide. Not used the other, but I can also recommend AKS up in Oakley, Bedford.

Hey mate

I can recommend Russell Automotive in Kingsbury. I received great service when I got my NQSBBK fitted there.

If you go there say I recommended you. Steve is a good guy.

I am planning on visiting www.audivwsc.co.uk next time as the OP in this thread used them and recommended their service and they seem to be cheaper than Russell.

it was interesting Kal as I met the guy again in the evening when picking up the little one, he was asking about what car I had when I mentioned MKV his comments were good cars... check the follower and the diaphram on the DV valve... brownie points inmy book...

as for mods... the list goes on... have my eyes set on some new wheels, then its the usual suspects... stage 1, intake and a good old slap with the lowering stick.... shortly followed after that with a stage 2 and bigger brakes I'm sure

have heard only good things from AKS... just that little bit further out though...

thanks for the help guys

I recently used the audi & vw specialist in harrow and had a good experience with them. The guy knows what he's taking about. He changed my DV and cam follower. When he did a once ove the car he checked and my bushes and arms were worn so got them changed as well. Would defiantly return to them.
